Rev.
Wanda Cleckley: God Is Always Fair
I was recently listening to all the roaring about an evangelist that I respected highly and her husband, who I respected as well, and their personal bouts with domestic violence. At the same time, I remember my Pastor teaching us that certain things women should go out of their way to cover as it relates to their husbands. I am an advocate and speak openly against domestic violence yet I am a believer and a person who has lived many mornings and seen many things... there are two sides to every story. My pain is that it is wise to be a good business person but not at the stake of another person. Hubby although seems to be the person at fault here is the only one who is being focused on... yet there are skeletons in every one's closet and we would do well to protect one another. Family is sacred and sometimes healing has to be between you, God and the physician not the whole body of Christ. Well, I am sure the end will reveal all because God is always fair. No matter how evil people can be, God still loves them and cares about them. God always has us on his mind. I am careful about praying for my enemy because I don't want to wish them a harm that might return to me and mine. Vengeance is mine says the Lord. We are quick to kill each and to reveal each other's faults. My Bishop recently shared that we should thank God because in our deepest sin (believers and non-believers) God covered us... God has us on his mind. Please let us learn to cover each other. The life you save might be your own. |
