Celebrity Chit-Chat v.6
By JBG Staff & Wire Service
Deal or No Deal? Rapper Busta Rhymes told a Manhattan Criminal Court judge NO DEAL! Judge Larry Stephen offered the 35-year-old rap star one year in prison to cover four separate charges launched against, but Busta said nope. He’s accused of beating up a former employee and fan, driving drunk and driving with a suspended license. Now, he will go to trial. Busta, whose mama named him Trevor Smith, was arrested last May on a drunken driving charge. It was his fourth arrest in the past year. He was already slated to go to trial on the two assault charges when he got behind the wheel tipsy. Sean “Diddy” Combs just can’t make a true commitment to his long time gal-pal Kim Porter. The rap mogul and the model have called it quits, again! Days before Christmas the couple gave birth to two little Cuties D’Lila Star and Jessie James and appeared on the cover of Essence talking about how much they love each other. Diddy said it was Kim’s “big booty and smile” that caught his attention and Kim said she always knew that he would come back home. If Diddy thought Kim took him to court the last time to increase her child support payments for their son, Christian, Diddy better get ready to get hit up again for the twins. Kim Porter is no fool, in fact she is a shrewd business woman. Her future is secure thanks to Big Daddy Diddy. Girlfriends, do not try this “baby-making thang” at home. When it comes to child support, most men will fight you tooth and nail to avoid paying. They will not be as generous as Diddy. The comedic Wayans Brothers to develop a 70-acre, run-down Army base into a state-of-the art movie studio and theme park, but they’ve run into some red tape. Brothers Keenan, Damon, Marlon and Shaw had an agreement with officials, but it expired after they failed to meet deadlines set in place to make sure the project really happens. Big brother Keenon is trying to make nice with officials so they can get the party started and build their entertainment complex, which will include an up-scale hotel. The Wayans said their project will bring revenue and jobs to Oakland. Beyonce was so upset when she found out that two people were injured from fireworks and sparks that were set off as part of her St. Louis concert that she made a surprise visit to the hospital to visit them. We’re not saying her visit isn’t genuine, we hear B is a sweetie, but … Ahhhhh! Ummm! Can you say lawsuit? Anyway, as soon as the concert was over Beyonce went over to the Barnes-Jewish Hospital to check on her fans. They were sitting in the front row when the sparks flew their way. One of the chatty nurses at the hospital said Beyonce stayed with the fans, who will be okay, for about 45 minutes. Beyonce’s tour will hit New Orleans, Dallas, New York City, Washington, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Buy your tickets and support Beyonce, but try to avoid the front row. In other Beyonce news, the Rev. Al Sharpton is pissed with TMZ.com for referring to Beyonce as a "Roboho" in a fashion piece that appeared after the BET Awards. Sharpton, who led the charge to have Imus fired for his controversial nappy-headed ho comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team, said "Calling any woman a "ho" is demeaning and abusive and it should not be tolerated on any level. It is intolerable to think that TMZ.com would find humor in calling Beyonce -- someone who symbolizes the strength, dignity and uplifting of Black women -- a "Roboho." He wants the community to denounce TMZ.com for glorifying the continued oppression of women with this derogatory term. We hear you Rev. Al, you're right, but dang! It wasn't hard to turn off Imus in the morning, but it's gonna be hard to give up TMZ.com's juicy gossip. |
