I should be ashamed. I have watched every episode of “The Flavor of Love” Cycle 2. I have committed every traffic violation in order to be in front of the television on time to watch this show: I have actually rescheduled a flight so I would not miss this show. The ostensible purpose of The Flavor of Love is for Flavor Flav to find his real true love, from a group of women he doesn’t even care enough about to call by their real names. Degradation is the name of the game. How far are they willing to degrade themselves to be his “girl” for the season and prove that they were the better woman?<br /><p style="margin-top: 0.19in; margin-bottom: 0.19in;font-family:georgia;" align="justify"><span style="font-size:100%;"><br />Flavor Flav has received most of the backlash for the show, but can we really blame him, totally? Episode after episode we have watched as the women anxiously await his every command to turn around, bend over and drop it like it’s hot. We have watched how they have backstabbed and slandered each other for a chance to become the Last Girl Standing. Wait a minute….. Wasn’t he arrested in the 1990’s for not paying child support? (Things that make you go HMMMM). Does Flav really know or care to know any of their talents, passions, dreams and accomplishments? And the spit swapping, how unsanitary! Under any normal circumstance would a woman just stand by and watch the man of her dreams passionately kiss two other women and say nothing? There has to be some insidious reason behind such behavior. Oh Yeah, the proverbial fifteen minutes of fame and the right celebrity to help them achieve that goal.<br /><br />It has always been my opinion that women are trained to do in order to obtain and with every humiliating, debasing, vile and cat fighting episode of “The Flavor of Love” my sentiments were closer to becoming consummated. When vying for a mans’ love or attention, many of us make our selves responsible for their wants. When we place ourselves in that position, it makes it much easier to compromise our principles. This is when we lightly give things away that we’re not suppose to give up, precious things such as our emotions, monies, beds and bodies. This is mainly why men have become so disappointing to us, but is it really their fault?
